Where they differ
Glowise is the better choice if eating is where you need help. It suggests a calorie target, builds a week of meals around your goals and GLP-1 stage, and logs food when you speak or take a photo. Its side-effect tracker lets you describe a symptom in your own words and keeps it beside your doses, meals and water.
Pip Body Scan is lighter on food on purpose. It shows a general protein range and estimates protein and calories from a meal you type or say, but it doesn’t suggest a calorie target. Its focus is the weekly 3D body, with a body-fat range and waist, compared with any earlier week.
Both say they aren’t medical advice. Glowise says its tracker doesn’t diagnose symptoms or recommend dose changes, and Pip Body Scan gives no personal dosing advice.
Accounts, privacy and AI services
Glowise works without an account. Its privacy policy, effective 14 July 2026, says Guest Mode keeps your data only on your device, with nothing synced to its servers, so a lost phone means a lost record. Signing in with Apple or Google syncs your data across devices through Glowise’s servers. Its App Store privacy label says identifiers may be used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Pip Body Scan has no account at all. Its record stays on your iPhone, left out of backups, and the free export, a folder with your full record and original photos, is your copy.
Both send some things to AI services. Glowise’s policy names OpenAI, Google, Sonix, SambaNova and DeepSeek for reading food photos, meal text and voice and for its weekly insights, says it sends them only when you use those features, and says those companies don’t train their models on it. Pip Body Scan sends your four scan photos to OpenAI and Meshy to make your scan, after you agree, Ask Pip questions to OpenAI if you turn Ask Pip on, meal text to Anthropic if you turn on AI meal reading, and the text of Pip's spoken lines to Google (Gemini) to make its voice. Pip says your photos are never included in Ask Pip questions.
Shots, pills and Android
Glowise covers GLP-1 pills as well as shots. Its Google Play listing names Wegovy as a pill and an injection, Rybelsus and orforglipron, and its site lists a tracker for compounded medicines as coming soon. Pip Body Scan logs shots, pills or creams, with GLP-1s and tesamorelin built in and any other name typed in.
Glowise came to Android on 6 August 2026, according to its changelog, and its Google Play listing showed more than 10,000 downloads on 26 October 2026. Pip Body Scan is iPhone only.
